why i love my boyfriend...

he has this uncanny ability to make me laugh.

and not just any "haha" laugh, but a genuine laugh... much like a curl my toes and roll over until i start to cry kind of laugh.

i've learned to value...

the fact that few things in life beat good conversation over dinner with great company.

yesterday night,  a few of my girl friends and i got together for dinner at block 7, a wine bar. after trying two reislings, a rose, and a red... the verdict all across the board was : reisling, and sweet please. guess we can't roll with the real wine buffs...yet.

i personally love this line. it's sooo cute, and i find myself chuckling evertime i hear it. because really, fat kids do love cake, and who are we kidding? we do, too.  i heard this song on the radio again today and thought to myself  "awww i love my hubby the way a fat kid loves cake!" but in reality, why i love him, and how i love him is totally different from why that kid loves cake. he's not something that i just indulge in once in awhile when i crave something sweet; leaving me only temporarily satisfied, while offering nothing shortly after the last bite is taken.  he's also not bad for me, nor fattening (amen for that). most importantly however, is the fact that i never have to think twice about whether i should be with him or let myself love him. because unlike that slice of cake, he is good for me, to me, and with me- even after that first bite was taken.

cupcakes for dinner?

i always google or "bing" images of cupcakes, because you know, cupcakes are cute...and i like cute. today this caught my attention:



pretty darn cute, huh? almost too cute to eat...

on second thought, i'm not sure how i really feel about the "mashed potato" and "green peas & carrots" cupcakes after all. would you want to eat them? i'd say yes to the chicken drums, but no thanks to the others. even the actual cupcake looks more like a pile-o'-poo than an actual cupcake. no?

if he's happy, i'm happy.

i should be studying for the two exams i have this week, but i can't help but be excited about visiting my other half in 2 1/2 weeks. focus i tell myself...FOCUS.

but i can't.

all i can think about is how i can't wait to hug him, cuddle with him, and be with him. sometimes i miss him so much my heart aches a little. i keep making (and throwing away) lists of what i want and need to bring. i want this birthday to be big, special, and most of all...memorable for him. Because, if he's happy, i'm happy, and that's what matters.

can't wait to see you baby cakes, because 17 days feels like just too damn long.
